evian Agrees to Extend Wimbledon Partnership For Another Five Years

London, UK: evian, the iconic water brand from Danone, is delighted to announce an agreement to extend its partnership with The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) for another five years. Thanks to this new deal, evian will remain the Official Bottled Water Supplier to The Championships, Wimbledon until at least 2022.

Besides quenching the thirst of the players and thousands of spectators every year, evian will continue to use the partnership to bring its playful Live young-philosophy to fans of the iconic tennis tournament. Since launching in 2008, the collaboration with Wimbledon has gone from strength to strength, with both brands exploring innovative and exciting ways of bringing the full Championships-experience to old and new fans.

Bryan Martins, Marketing Director at Danone Waters UK & Ireland, explains the brand’s approach: “Our association with tennis is central to our long-term brand strategy and our partnership with The Championships is integral to this. Both evian and Wimbledon are iconic brands with strong personalities. We believe that our relationship has been so successful for the past nine years because we work very hard to develop campaigns that strike the right balance between both: celebrating Wimbledon’s traditions but looking at them through our Live young lens.

“Our wimblewatch programme is a great example of this, bringing behind-the-scenes content to Wimbledon fans through social media. We’re now looking forward to developing ways of taking the evian/Wimbledon experience to the next level every year. We’re thrilled about the extension of our partnership and can’t wait for The Championships in 2018.”

James Ralley, Head of Marketing and Commercial at the AELTC said: “We are delighted to be extending our agreement with evian for a further five years. We have always been very impressed with how evian activates their relationship with The Championships and we look forward to further collaboration and success in the next stage of our partnership.”
